The hotel had some positives with its prime location near SECC Hydro and good transport links. Rooms, although small, were well-equipped, but the service experienced during check-out was lacking. The dining options left much to be desired with poor quality offerings.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was the smallest I'd ever been in, and it was very cold despite turning the heating on full. The mugs were dirty, and there was a reluctance to provide glasses and ice when requested.
Service

While some staff members were friendly and promptly informed me about parking, others seemed too preoccupied and left me waiting. The reception struggled to handle the crowd, leading to delays.

I found the hotel to be conveniently located near the SEEC event venue, although the room wasn't cheap and didn't include breakfast. Despite some delay in room readiness due to staffing issues, the overall experience was satisfactory.

Rooms

The room I stayed in had a desk chair and looked presentable, but the cost was a bit high due to the event in the SEEC area and the lack of breakfast included. There was a slight delay in room readiness attributed to staffing problems.
Service

The hotel's frontline service staff were friendly and approachable, though they seemed overworked, likely not their fault. Nevertheless, they managed to assist with dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and even provided a welcome drink.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was great for those attending events at the SEEC or Clydeside Auditorium, plus it offered easy access to Glasgow city center. However, the lack of nearby shops or amenities could be a downside in some situations.
Dining

I enjoyed a good breakfast at the hotel, which was reasonably priced and delicious. However, I found that the dining options were limited, and the bar lacked a variety of beers.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a powerful shower and hairdryer in the room, alongside a great restaurant and bar. However, some aspects like the power button issue and the proximity of foot traffic near the bathroom window could be improved.

The hotel had well-planned rooms with coffee and tea facilities, a desk, a nice bed, and good bathroom amenities. However, there were apparent signs of mold on the ceiling and poor lighting. The quiet ambiance was a plus, but there was uncertainty about the inclusion of continental breakfast in the price.

The hotel's location is excellent, especially for visitors attending events at the Glasgow SEC Centre, near the Clyde River and the Science museum. However, the area seemed somewhat intimidating at night.

7.6/10

The hotel provided everything needed in the rooms, but they could do with a bit of updating and better blinds to block out street lights. I was disappointed by the long wait during check-in without any complimentary offer, and the rooms felt dingy and smelly. However, the staff did all they could to make my stress level go down, especially the lady in the dining room during breakfast. The location was exceptional for exploring the west end and attending events at the SSE, but the evening meals were not fantastic. The dining experience was fine, with limited options at breakfast. The car park was safe and very good value. All in all, it was a mixed experience with both positives and negatives.
